Gumboot Friday, this Friday 28th May, is about awareness and solidarity with those suffering depression. It as been described as like struggling to walk through mud in gumboots every day.
The aim of Gumboot Friday is to raise the necessary money to fund free counselling and support for young people as and when they need it rather than stuck-in-the-mud long waiting lists.
The full sale price from this auction will go to Key to Life, Gumboot Friday.

Woven in stunning deep brick red, cool grey, cream and black pure New Zealand wool. This early travel rug is woven in a tukutuku panel pattern. It is thick and warm with a firmish feel.
This collectors blanket has its original label, the words "Māori For Keepsake" with Māori wāhine image.
Manufactured by the Roslyn Woollen Mills of Dunedin. It is one of the first Roslyn Manatunga blanket designs, created pre-1969.

This blanket is lovely and thick and is slightly denser than when it was first woven.
