This is an early NZ Wool Vintage blanket somewhere in the realm of 100 years old. No label to give us more detailed information but a very fine example of the durability of wool
This blanket is unusually soft for a blanket of this type and age. Lovely fuzzy wool feel.
It is a duotone design where one side of the blanket is in dark browns and emerald large plaid, while the reverse side is emerald green with details of brown and gold. Duotone blankets are also double thickness of a standard travel rug!
Nice and long for a blanket of this type at 132cm x 170cm.
Tassels top and bottom edges, unfortunately no label - would love to know more details about its origin.
This blanket has six patch repairs
Cosy warm and also great for the car. A wonderful blanket for the collector to be both used and admired!
