Key Feature: Vintage Firm Wool Army Blanket
Attempting to describe the feel of this 100% wool Army blanket is not altogether positive but it is legit! It is firm, almost crunchy. Dense heavy but even wool. If you have ever felt the old vintage uniform wool jackets - this is what it is like.
No makers label, this type of wool weave could be 1930's but more likely First World War putting it roughly 100 years old! (Weight, feel, weave, lack of red stripe, stiffness)
This lovely blanket is a dark charcoal grey marle. Single size measuring 150cm x 184cm. Heavy weight wool at 1.6kg - this is quite a lot! Average singles are roughly a kilo.
To make it ready for re-use this blanket is washed and brushed, has fresh blanket stitching top and bottom edges, invisible darning repairs and three feature repair patches.
