This is a gorgeous light weight Kaiapoi Woollen Mills Maori Chief label Travel Rug.
It is quite unique as similar to the earlier 1900's car rugs only in a light wool throw style.
Completely 100% wool it is a smooth to touch fine wool. Classic STEWART tartan design of red, royal blue, emerald, gold, cream and black.
Wool is light in weight and lovely smooth even thickness.
This blanket is smaller travel rug/throw size at 125cm x 150cm.
Tassels top and bottom edges.
The star of this rug is the wonderful Maori Chief Kaiapoi label.
There is fabulous detail in this label showing the Maori Chief with a full Tā moko, pounamu Hei tiki, kahu huruhuru around his shoulders, two Huia feathers in his hair a red feather/bone earring all showing rangatira.
Label also features the Woolmark Logo
Three patch repairs have been added to this blanket.
